Everyone in the world here wants to sell you black market cigars. The entire population of Havana has a stock of cigars smuggled out of the factories. In fact, literally half the production line must mysteriously disappear - it´s amazing any of them make it out legally at all.
And the cigars are fucking huge. It´s like trying to smoke a recorder. Smoking them is a bit of a problem, because no one has a lighter, and it´s impossible to buy one. There are lighter repair stalls in the street, but no actual outlets. Probably you have to queue for a lighter licence, and then queue somewhere else to have the stamp for your licence, and then go somewhere else to buy the lighter (though no one knows where but they all tell you different random and non-existent places because Cubans are kind and helpful people and don´t like to disappoint), and by the time you get there they´ve run out... I guess I´m a capitalist at heart really.
