(no subject)
things are looking up job wise. i started working at the banquet serving last week. i've had four shifts, and they've all been differently weird. yesterday my shift was a mistake shift - but we ended up polishing a lot of utensils and rolling them for use today so it was still worthwhile.
then when i got home there was a message from Shopper's saying i got the job! which is so exciting! they are even going to make me a supervisor. i have a refresher on thursday.
there was also a message from my mom saying i had got mail from the university. apparently i won a college of arts student union book prize. i don't know why or what for.
we were starting to watch a movie last night when erik stopped by and invited us over for watermelon, so we went over there. we are going to watch the movie tonight instead. which really makes more sense anyway because today we all end work earlier.
today i'm working a barbeque. i hope that means i get to wear my golf shirt instead of the long shirt and tie and apron.
now that i am way less anxiety ridden i can look back on the summer so far and notice how much fun it is so far.
if you were wondering there is a very funny one act play entitled God by Woody Allen in his book Without Feathers. You should check it out. it is in the public library, only not right this second because i have the copy and i think janina is reading it so i'm not returning it right away.
