Oooo... *pets your fuzzies* I just want to unroll those, put them on a flat surface, and roll around. And then get an industrial-grade lint roller. *grin*

What, if I may ask, are you planning with all these gorgeous furry bits?

(And hi! *hugs*)

Hee. They're lovely. Gorgeous quality, and you'd never know they're fake without flipping them over and checking out the underside.

Well, some of them are earmarked for costuming. (Obviously, I didn't buy full rolls, just a half metre of each. ^_~) Some may become throw pillows, accents/trim, or small pieces. (I kind of want to use any remnants to make little furry rosettes for a hat or something.) But most are currently for petting and rolling around in. *snicker*

Dear god, the fuzz. I'm shaking them out outside today, and it's like a snowstorm of fur. The Champagne Fur and Arctic Wolf are the worst offenders, probably because they're the longest hairs. (They're also the ones I'm 99.9% sure I can match to specific Hero!Dwarves. The Champagne is washed out in that photo, since they're all cell phone snaps. It's far more golden, like, say, a lion. *G*)

(Hi! *hugs tight* ♥)

I read the title and immediately thought it was going to be about shaving cats... I must still be traumatized from last time.

*snerk* I can imagine. But nope! No cats! (I'm more of a dog person, myself.) Just Dwarves! *G* Although I'm sure they'd be just as thrilled about shaving. ^_~

*snerk* I know, right? And I just happened to stop by the store on a whim, and I had a ton of other errands to run, but I stood there in front of them, and as the store owners confirmed that yes, they were the Hobbit furs, I thought to myself, "Fuck it, it's now or never. Get them now, or they'll be gone next time you look." Apparently they'd begun putting them out the night before, and they started selling right away.

...MmmmDwarves. *pets*

(Nice icon! ...Good lord, I really do need to get myself a Hobbit icon or two.)

Oooh, they look lovely. I just want to roll around on them and knead them like cats do with blankets and people. *g* I suspect that would end with me sneezing nonstop for half an hour while looking like I'd grown fur all of a sudden, though.

(Also: send help, I may have fallen into a whole bunch of mental images about the alternate uses of those furs that we discussed a while back. *g*)

*snicker* I can imagine! I certainly have been covered in hair for the last two days, and shaking them out outside was basically my very own snowstorm. I had to stop whenever anyone passed for fear of getting them covered too. It was worth it, though, because even though my room has more fuzz floating around than I'd like, it would've been far, far worse if I hadn't taken them outside and shaken them like crazy. (Although I'm still spending time going, "Dammit, I just vacuumed." ^_^)

Mwhahahahah. That's terrible, and I'm very sorry to hear that. Tell me in detail! *G*

But why did you need all the fur? Are you making something?

Oh, I didn't buy the rolls themselves. That's the fur still on the shelves. (I only bought a bit of each.) I'll find a use for the bits I bought, though. More importantly, though, I needed them because they're the remnants of the fur used in The Hobbit costumes. ^_^

A number of months ago, purely by chance, I stumbled on a store that sold the production some of its fabrics, and then the production, when they were done with them, sold part of what was left back to the store. (I failed to post about it at the time, but I have similar pictures of those fabrics on rolls.) The other day, I was out running errands and popped into the store on a whim, and it turned out they'd just put out the furs they received from the production. (They're now referring to me as "That Hobbit Lady." *snort*) They've been holding onto them because they don't sell well in the summer, but they figured it was time, and I just happened to be lucky, since they hadn't even sent the notice out to their mailing list ( ... )

Oh, it's Hobbit related! I totally didn't catch that, but that's very cool.
