Yesterday was a rather bad day. I mean, I saw Mirror, Mirror, and Sean was good (for his five whole minutes), and the whole movie wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but it really wasn't anywhere approaching good either.
That, of course, was not the bad part. The bad part was a long list of really frustrating damn things that got under my skin, which I have now deleted from this post because it was just one long rant. Suffice it to say that today is marginally better, but only marginally, and the two things that drive me most completely batshit -- shitty internet and no heat -- are still broken today.
I do want to thank everyone who has been kind and supportive of late. ♥ ♥ ♥ I'm going to try and send thanks individually ASAP, although I'm a little bit squirrelly right now, which is pulling my focus like crazy.
Anyway. I wanted to share stuff that's made me smile recently (all videos). First, an ABC of Monsters (literally, 26 stylized letters that stand in for 26 monsters), which is so apropos given the conference I just went to. ^_^

I got everything but I, O, Q, R and X without help. (And, well, with X, it was more, "Shit, what's his name again?" ^_~) What about you?
And some folks know I love Felicia Day's
The Guild, a comedy webseries about a group of online gamers. For the past few years, they've been releasing bonus music videos that exist outside the plotline of the series, and the newest one came out a few weeks ago: "I'm the One That's Cool." (Previous two:
Do You Wanna Date My Avatar, an adorable pop/electronica song, and
Game On, a Bollywood parody.)
The Guild: I'm the One That's Cool I've always been a nerd and a geek, but can't say I've ever really been picked on for being either of those things, but it's a cute video and rather catchy all the same. *G*
Also, Felicia's started up a new YouTube channel that has programming throughout the week, and I fear I'm hooked. It's like a network designed entirely for geeks. I watched Wil Wheaton, Grant Imahara and friends play a tabletop game for a whole half hour, and was fascinated the entire time. O_o But there's also motion comics, Felicia's video blog, a sci fi/fantasy book club, and a whole bunch of other nifty programming, too:
Geek & Sundry.
(Oh, and
here's the playlist for all the channel's trailers, in case you're curious. It's 13 videos that don't take more than a few minutes total to watch.)
