Silly Non-Spoilery Thoughts on the Most Recent Episode of Downton Abbey--
(...Which I still haven't finished watching, because last year's season finale of Fringe was on TV, and thus the rest of DA had to be postponed.)
When they mentioned Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (commonly known as "Princess Pat's" or "The Pats," and not "Patricia's" as Wikipedia claims), my immediate response was, "OMFG! They're from Alberta!"
...Which immediately segued into crankiness over the fate of Currie Barracks, then more grumpiness over the post-military landlords driving out the awesome Calgary Farmers' Market so now they're even further from my house than before, and then I cycled back around and became deeply suspicious of the accent of the actor playing the Pats officer, and then I hit up the IMDB and was mollified to find out he's from Vancouver, BC, and thus worthy of a pass.
...Watching TV shouldn't be this intensive. O_o
