Dear LOST,
Well, you made me cry. A lot. And... a whole bunch clicked in place. I think it's going to take a while to process, but... Yes. That was a satisfying end.
Man, I'm going to miss you.
Love,
~Me ♥
P.S. Watched the last hour and a half again (because it was running on another station). Yep, still tearing up. How can you be overP.P.S. I

I wonder what it means that Michael wasn't there? Possibly tied to that whole thing a couple episodes back about how he was trapped on the island because of what he'd done? Hmm. (I think it's fascinating that they allowed for those who escaped the island to go on and have full lives until they met up again. Or at least that's how I interpreted some of it.)
Sorry, can you tell I'm desperate to talk about this with people? *G*

That's how I interpret it too by what Christian said. They all lead their lives and die at separate times but meet up in this separate time construct (like a purgatory or however you want to envision it) to be together.
I hadn't envisioned the flash sideways to be this at all, so it was a wonderful twist right there at the end. Fabulous storytelling.
I did think it would end with the closing eye; that was a theory going around. The dog being there was really sad. :(

Yeah, definitely well done. It really shows how they had a good idea of where they were headed from the very beginning, and that's really gratifying, since I recall other "strange" shows, like Twin Peaks (which I loved), just fell apart the closer they got to the end.
You know, it never even occurred to me to consider how they were going to end it, but Jack's eye closing was perfect. Very full circle, and I always love that. (And I love Vincent, the dog, so I was really pleased to see him, even if it was a heartrending scene. Man, I was pleased to see everyone come back.)

It was wonderful seeing Rose and her husband (can't remember his name). I wasn't expecting to them again.
These producers/directors/writers know how to end a series. I think the key is planning to end the show instead of letting it run on and on until it doesn't make sense anymore. Once they planned to end this (I think two years ago?) it really kicked into high gear. This year was phenomenal.

I blanked out on his name too, right after squeaking it when they appeared in the episode, so I did a quick google. Rose and Bernard! I'm so pleased they were still safe and looking after Vincent. ♥
They do. While I went through a "Nooooooo!" phase after they announced they'd only be doing two more seasons, I honestly do appreciate the fact that they stuck to a plan and finished the story rather than riding it out until it died and had to be cancelled. (And it gave us Jacob, which made me chuckle since I was watching him be the embodiment of Good on Tuesdays, and then the embodiment of Evil on Thursdays -- he was Lucifer on SPN. *G*)
