Fiction Musings--
I seem to be in the midst of a giant fic purge. For the last, say, two years, I've been writing things for various exchanges, and failing to post them to my LJ afterward. So, um. I appear to be catching up. It's probably the wrong time to be doing so, since so many people are away and LJ's so slow, but, hey, I've got the forward momentum going, and it seems a shame to stop now and risk not starting again. So, sorry, guys. You're going to be (and already are being) bombarded by old and new fic: stuff I've never posted to LJ; stuff that's been posted for exchanges, but never transferred to my LJ or crossposted to comms; and the odd new fic in between.
Good lord, I actually had to open a new file today and simply paste in all the info from the various challenges I'd ideally like to participate in this month. I'm a little gobsmacked. And that's without a set of other challenges I'd like to try my hand at, but am pretty sure I just won't have the time.
And I think I finally have a good idea of how to cover more than a few of the Halloween door-to-door ficlets from last year. *scuffs toe* Man, this year, you all might just get pictures or something, unless I get these ficlets done. Gah. I'm going to turn into the house that hands out toothbrushes. *facepalm*
And to top it all off, I seriously, seriously need to find a way to restart my work on Words/Silence/Flesh. It's been almost three fucking years since either myself or savageseraph finished anything to post, and that's a ridiculous shame. I doubt anyone much is likely to read it anymore (commenters were dropping like flies last time I looked), but it's important that we finish it. It's important, full stop.

Also, guys, I hope some of you are thinking about the annual sons_of_gondor Halloween fic/art exchange, because it's that time of year again, and it's coming down the pike fast. Sometime this month, we'll be starting signups, and I hope I can count on you to toss your hats in the ring once again. As always, it's open to both LotR FPF and RPF, with the only codicil being that one character in your request needs to be a son or daughter of Gondor, or an actor who portrayed one of those roles. (And we're fine with stretching that definition a bit, say if you desperately want Eowyn or Miranda fic, since she marries into the family of Stewards anyway, etc., etc.)
