First, I love Peter's voice mail message. It sounds so ungodly Peter that I laughed out loud ( ... )

Thank you!

Secondly, what's up with Elijah's typing?
Oh, that's Dom, actually. And I have learned from this particular experiment that he's got to be the hardest one to emulate in terms of tone, partially because there are samples of chats with him online, and partially because he has the worst typing skills I've ever seen. I think he does it on purpose, because if I recall correctly, he has some University-level English training. Random capitals, terrible punctuation, words that run together. He seems to type too fast and never hit the backspace key. It's horrible. I've tried to get it down right here, but I'd venture to say I've probably erred on the side of coherence.

Sorry, you were up until five, you don't deserve me hammering away at you with relentless questions about backstory that's probably not necessary for the mainstory.*G* I'm actually having troubles getting back to sleep anyway, so no worries ( ... )

I'm a twit. Apologies. I swear I thought the nickname went with Elijah. Gah. Hate being behind in a fandom.

That makes for an interesting character, eh? I'd love to know what that's about. But you needn't answer now. I'm just saying, the curious part of me wants to know. Not that you have to--I give up. I'll just trust you to understand what I mean. Still haven't had breakfast, and just got a phone call from a friend who is in town--haven't seen them in years, and they're going to be literally down the street from me today, so, have had whole plan for day thrown off.

No worries. After all, that chat format is a bit hard to read. If I remember correctly, Lij's nickname among the cast was Lighe.

So would I. I spend very little time in the Hobbit end of the fandom, but from what I've seen/read/heard, Dom's a bit of a wild card, and difficult to control as a result. Not that he's difficult to work with, more that he has a tendency to run off at the mouth and say whatever comes into his head. I'd venture to say that the bad typing stems from this "carefree" (for lack of a better term) attitude. That's my shallow, before-noon analysis anyway. ^_~

That sounds great. Hope it doesn't throw today's plan into too much turmoil, and I hope you enjoy yourself.

ohmigawd the hobbits are involved which means everybody will know
*G* It was only a matter of time once Orlando found out, though, wasn't it?

especially how badly Dom types, and the shorthand/vernacular he and Billy use
Thanks. The Domspeak doesn't quite ring true for me, but it's so bloody insane that there's little I can do about it, not being a Hobbitslasher and therefore not having a certain amount of practise under my belt. ^_^ (I had to go look up "Sblomie," too, much to my eternal shame, since I'd somehow flipped it in my mind and was convinced it was Orlando's nickname, not Orlando's nickname for Dom. O_o)

But it's hilarious how this works in the story.
*G* I actually don't have a cell phone (Dad does, but he barely ever has it on), and only about half the people I know sport them, so it didn't occur to me until Barb pointed out (via Miranda) that the cast was probably armed with the damn things. But hey, if people were easy to reach, there wouldn't be nearly as many opportunities for misunderstandings, would there?
