HAPPY CANADA DAY!

I hope everyone's having a good day so far. I predict lots of fireworks across the country later this evening. ^_^

So, anyway, I usually do something via LJ for Canada Day, and this year's no different. I thought, however, that instead of putting together a links list and some general blah-blah-blah (maybe later), I'd find out ( Read more... )

I perfectly understand why you wished to filter my comments as they were spoilerish.

And I had know idea my comments caused you to feel this way, though. I have to say I am very surprised that you thought this was my intention because it was not. I am sorry you felt this way because of my comments. I guess it's professional deformation. Again sorry. Please remember that part of my job is to teach the constitution and that I know it like the palm of my hand. It has nothing to do with my political views. I'll lurk now.

I've been hoping it was simply professional discourse that was coming off strangely, and I'm glad to hear that that is the case. I certainly don't intend to push you into lurking, and honestly, you are always welcome to comment and engage here, and I hope you continue to do so. I've been unfortunately interpreting a lot of our dialogue as politically charged, and it's been troubling me, which is why I felt the need to finally say something. As I said, I value your friendship, and I think as long as we're aware of the pitfalls of tone in textual communication, then we should be fine. Ok?

I'm relieved it was a misunderstanding. The thing is today has been a particularly hard fribromyalgia day and I'm in this thick fog and I was afraid that I had written something horribly wrong. I value your friendship too. And to tell the truth, I don't think I ever fully expressed my political views in your LJ, or in mine for that matter, except in passing and always tongue and cheek. I don't take politics seriously enough to ever talk about it seriously.

I'm relieved too. ^_^ Sometimes it's a real pain navigating textual communications, and with those troubles, plus various linguistic tics and markers thrown in the mix, it's all a big soup. And I was possibly a bit kneejerk in my reactions too, so my apologies for that.

I'm so sorry this is a difficult day for you. *hugs* Rest assured, we're just fine, and I'm honestly really glad we straightened things out.
