Ok, I'm doing this as much for myself as anyone else, since I've realized that I'm having trouble keeping track of where all the letters savageseraph and I have written are, and I keep needing to refer back to them. I've decided not to wait until they're done to post a list.

Oh, and since we haven't done so yet, I'll say it here:

Btw, how many academics are here exactly? I'm doing a PhD on Film and Television, love CfP, but have till now mostly managed to avoid mixing academia and fandom. Uh, apart from the Buffy thing ~g~

Do you mean all over LJ, in the slash community, or this particular corner of LotR fandom? *G* I am tempted to say "we are legion," just because that'd be fun, but it'd be entirely pointless and wouldn't really answer your question, I suppose. There's a bunch of us in the slash community. More than you'd expect, and growing all the time. I'd suggest taking a peek at virgule, but I believe you've already found your way over there, haven't you?

Wonderful! Yeah, I know what you mean, though. I gave up trying to stick to "classic, legitimate literature" some time ago and realized that if I was enjoying fandom so bloody much, I might as well enjoy studying it as well.

Will check the ICFA, but hey, we (bunch of people at my Uni and myself)
organised the first ever All-Buffy Conference in the UK ~g~
Across the pond is *so*expensive...sigh...

And yes, I noticed the letters getting longer and longer, but I am certainly not complaining :)

Speaking as someone who knows how expensive it is simply to fly down to the States, I can only imagine the costs involved to hop across the pond.

*LOL* Thank you. The length does tend to slow down finishing parts and posting, though, and that can get a bit frustrating for savageseraph and I as things continue to spin out quickly behind the scenes. Ah well. ^_^
