So, um, it's still the 20th, somewh-- *checks watch* Ok, fine, it's not. But that doesn't mean that I can't wish our Mr. Mortensen a very fine, if belated, 48th birthday, right? (And I did, in fact, wish him Happy Birthday in yesterday's middleearthnews ^_~)

May your days be happy and long, and may you never stumble upon all of our perverse fictions; and if you do, may you chuckle, shake your head and take it in the spirit it's intended. And then possibly call Sean. *clicks tingauntlets together*
No fic just now (because dude, I'm in the middle of getting a fic/art exchange set up for the reveal stage), but how about something rather cute I stumbled across completely by accident earlier today which fits the birthday theme?
Gail's Paper Dolls: Yes. Paper dolls. As far as I can tell, most only come with one outfit, but there's a Viggo, an Aragorn, and for good measure, an Odysseus.
There are a number of other dolls that made me go, "Oh! Cool!" (including a couple of Orli in various roles), and honestly, I'm finding myself weirdly fascinated by the whole thing.
Speaking of Exchanges...
Looks like slashababy has extended its deadline through the 21st, to tomorrow night midnight today. Because I grumble and generally sulk every year after I've realized I've missed the deadline, I'm nagging you lot. Have you been toying with the idea? Well, now's your chance to step up to the plate and try it out. Signups are here. Joooooooin ussssssss. ^_~

And because it sounds like fun, gacked from telesilla (who has been very, very kind to me today -- go read her fantastic Bottom of the Ninth, Bases Loaded, Two Men Out):
Give me one reason I'm going to hell.
