The thing about the Harlan incident is that not too far back I was reading somewhere about him coming down like wrath and thunder to defend women writers/artists at comic book conventions who were being harassed by male fans and/or colleagues. I suspect it's more boundary issues, as in "oops, it's not okay to act out every random thought that crosses my mind". And if he gets into performance mode . . . (This is from an ever-so-slight in-person acquaintance with him.)
