Does this mean I get to sit on rocks with my coral and pearl tiara and sing sailors to their doom?
I said it before, but I'll say it again: I loved the "as did each thought of her, her beloved and her beloved's beloved, the wildly wandering north to which all their compasses -- even James' own -- held" very much. Though I also like this "wood scraping against skin meant to be exposed only to blushing brides and rented boys". The tone and diction work perfectly for Norrington.
Does this mean I get to sit on rocks with my coral and pearl tiara and sing sailors to their doom? You got it! Seems fitting enough to me. ^_~ Although I'm starting to wonder how many tiaras you actually own. *G*
The tone and diction work perfectly for Norrington. Excellent! Thanks.
And the last line... Mmmm, good stuff. ^_^ *beams* Thank you. I'm so glad you like it, since it is your fault, after all. ^_~
This is exquisitely horrifying (is that even possible?). I adore the refinement of your language. There are so many elegant phrases in here, so perfect in their resonance, imagery and word choice. Gorgeous. That's the only word I can think of to describe this. Bravo!
Wow, terrifying and graphic and yet entirely engaging. I'd love to know the story uo until James started beooming "one of them." What happened to him to bring him to the choice to become one of the crew?

This reads almost poetically. Thanks! I think that's partially an effect of the editing I often end up doing to my drabbles -- I've got an unfinished set of 24 drabbles that are concentrated down even more than this fic.
I like your play with words even though the piece in itself is quite creepy (not in a bad way, just very dark^^). *G* Thank you! That's very kind of you to say. (And "creepy" always works for me. ^_~)
This is quite a rare pairing ;-) Is it? Hmm. I gather Norrington is usually paired with Jack, eh? But I imagine anything with Davy Jones is at this point relatively rare. ^_~
Thanks for your lovely feedback! I'm glad you liked my little story.
