Football/Soccer/Whatever:
Does anyone know who the most popular Sheffield United players are? I know very little about footie, sadly, but I need to know for fic-purposes. Conversely, who prevailing wisdom says are the most attractive or highest scoring/most valuable players will do. I'm having trouble tracking down starting lineups/lists of players and then divining who is who from them. *sigh*
ETA: Oookay, I found the current first team squad, but I'm still floundering. Who are these people? What now? *sob*
ETA2: *tears out hair* Ergh. Should I go backwards and use George Best instead? *facepalm* This shouldn't be this hard. I just need a favourite player for Sean.
ETA3: Goddamn. George Best has all the wrong associations going for him in his private life that override his life on the field, so that doesn't work. *headdesk*

Today I caught a little of Definitely Not the Opera. Their topic was geekdom (more on that later), and between segments they were playing "geeky" songs by "geeky" bands. One of them was the all-female, all-Canadian band Cub's "My Chinchilla," which naturally made me think of nulomiel.
