Cards O'Vess and Popularity Memes--
In an auction, not so long ago, I (graciously ^_~) stepped aside so that savageseraph could be the sole bidder on a multi-part item the both of us had our eyes on. It made no sense, I figured, to attempt to outbid each other, risking hurt feelings on either side and driving up the price, not when we could compromise and split it or track down another copy of the same item. Well, I don't know that savageseraph was too keen on the splitting idea, ^_~ but once she was securely in possession of said item, we returned to our hotel room where I made use of the 'net connection to quickly track down another copy via eBay (evil, evil eBay). About five minutes later I was the owner of said item (for a slightly higher price, may I add). *G*
Well, I just received my copy today (90 cards featuring Charles Vess' artwork), and as I was putting them together in the page sleeves, I realized something. savageseraph! Go get your book o' cards, turn 'em over and read the sentences on the backs of each in order! It's a freaking autobiography by Vess! Eeeeee!
That's all kinds of cool.
