Why does everyone use the cute eyes on me?
1. Because it is your not so sekkrit weakness.
2. Because it works.
3. ...Everyone? O_o

O_o Should I have put a "Warning: Have water at the ready" tag in the header? Because ouch!

Holy hell... that was disturbingly hot.
Thanks! I'm not sure if it skews more towards "disturbing" or "hot" myself, but why force it to be one or the other, eh? ^_~

But... whoa. More more more more!!!
*happysigh* Oooh. Music to my ears. Thank you!

Please? *cute kitten eyes*
*G* There'll be more coming, I'm sure. And then hopefully we'll get back to the larger posts of the story from multiple POVs. Frankly, if savageseraph wasn't so focussed on sleep, we'd have more to show you lot. ^_~ Psst! Puppy eyes work better on me, just fyi. *snicker* But it was still cute.

OMG, why can I so totally see Viggo doing that?
And why do I want to be there? :D

Oh Tessy, I hope you know that I'm never going to be horrified or taken aback by an interesting, detailed conversation about what you like or don't like or are uncomfortable with in one of my posts/fics, and I can say with assurance that I'm pretty damn sure neither is savageseraph. I have to run off to work really soon, so I can't discuss this in detail with you just now, but I thought it might warrant a quick comment just to let you know that your thinky thoughts have me thinking as well. ^_~

I'll be back later, and see if I don't have something to add to the conversation. *G*

Oh good lord, it's a two-part comment! *facepalm* (Part 1/2) caras_galadhon March 2 2006, 09:03:45 UTC
Hi again, Tessy! I've been thinking about your comment, and about the fic itself, and I'm unsure what specifically you're tracing your discomfort back to. Is it the way the genderbending works out (the slide from male to female and the implications of said slide), or is it the implied lolicon aspect? Because, while yes, the Lolita Complex is specifically regarding sexual attraction to females under the age of consent, I'm curious if your discomfort extends to the use of "boy" in the fic as well, as I'm assuming it would, if that is what's at issue.

The dichotomy of Romantic 19th century thoughts on women as either whores or virgins bothers me.
*nodnod* I completely understand. Unfortunately, it's embedded in the literature of the time, and I suppose the best thing is that we've moved on (somewhat) from then. (Not, perhaps, as much as I personally would like. ^_~)

It also might be related to the fact that the way the scene was played out (not how it was set up!) scratched at the surface of the 'transvestism as humiliation' narrative ( ... )

In terms of sexual-border pushing, that certainly would make sense. In discussing our characters and their specific takes on the world, we've teased out that Sean, while most likely the closest to in-the-dead-centre-of -the-scale-bisexual of all the characters, he also adheres to gender roles more than probably anyone else. Viggo, OTOH, is quicksilver. Gender-bending, border-pushing, fence-jumping Viggo, and it makes sense for him to be much more comfortable pushing and playing with roles in this manner. Well, it makes sense to us, anyway. ^_^ Whether it makes sense to anyone else is an entirely different matter. That already presents difficulties in the relationship proper, but in terms of this specific scene, it will probably produce two entirely different takes from the two of them ( ... )

OK, I have no idea what you're doing and well wow.
Me and you both. ...Ok, I'm pretty sure I have more of an idea what we're up to, but you know how it goes. *G*

Was talking about your story tonight and our essay with dr_porn and he said it all sounded fascinating! We were talking about issues of slash and pornography and gender and eeeeeeee!
Oooh, nifty! I'll expect a full report when you've recovered, ok?

*smooch* Glad it's going well, and omg... OMG... Not even two weeks!!!!!!

Aw, thanks! I'm glad you liked it. *G* As savageseraph says, there's more coming. I, um, defaulted to no "TBC" or other notation at the end of the part because that's what I end up doing with all W/S/F parts.
