Oh, wow. Wow. This is gorgeous, and so subtle and elegant (rather like Boromir is here, actually), and the last line is just magnificent. I'm so happy my drabble sparked this, because it's terrific! *hugs you*

My sincerest apologies for taking so long to reply. I imagine I'm spamming a number of people today as I catch up. Eeek. Sorry.

*G* I'm so, so glad you approve! I really enjoyed your drabble, and I'm thrilled you let me springboard off of it. Thanks!

Oh, this is so lovely! I especially like this line: Secretive smiles, bedchamber knowledge cloaked in crushed velvet, exchanged through the day. A very nice contrast of public and private life.

I am totally with you on that point. I loved bedchamber knowledge cloaked in crushed velvet because it is such a tight description of a more wideranging concept. Great execution!

Thanks! I'm thrilled the description worked out well, since I really wanted it to remain tight yet communicate that wider sense. Thank you!

This is absolutely remarkable! And yes, the last line is awesome. Aragorn's feelings (happiness, reverence) are almost tangible.
