Pouf achieved!

While, due to fabric choice, this may potentially be one of the most god-awful ugly objects I have ever seen (much less made) this was also one of the easiest and most satisfying random projects I have ever done.

I ended up doing it in two major pieces (plus the little cap piece) and even having to workaround the fact that the instructions don't tell you how to do it as two pieces it went together fast and easy. The biggest hurdle in the project was actually finding a decorative shank button to finish off the center of the one end (which I am actually going to use as the top).

Materials required: Two pieces of fabric at 36 x 37, enough scrap to make the little cap piece (two 7" circles in this case), one decorative shank button, and one sew on metal snap. This version can easily be done in 2 & ¼ yards of a firm fabric.

Pictures once I get it properly filled. Filling to be done once I get some food into my stomach.

Edit: Picture!

A couple of process pics here including a closeup to show you exactly how much of an eyesore that fabric really is. It's both plaid AND houndstooth!

Finished size is about 20" across on the diagonal and about 12" tall using the large pouf measures and the full 7" on the hypotenuse on the pattern, though again construction was adjusted to make it out of 4 pieces instead of 10.
