Trail of a Peacock by Naboo Girl Just.... stunning.

It's not common that someone manages to hit not one but TWO of my favorite aesthetic inspirations in one outfit.

I've been wanting to do something like that for a while, now I'm going to have to make a particular point of NOT ripping off that outfit as it's just so beautifully done.

It reminds me a great deal of this dress from The Cell which I've also been trying very hard not to rip off wholecloth for a while. (though I do have some gorgeous scarlet feather trim just waiting for a project....)

I really have to start paying more attention to what Eiko Ishioka is doing in the fashion and movie world, she manages to put together visuals that literally stun me (Eiko was a major costume designer and design collaborator for Bram Stoker's Dracula BTW).

The decidedly imperial Japanese "throne room" scene from The Cell literally raised the hairs on my arms the first time I saw it. I didn't even particularly like the movie and I still watch it whenever I catch it on because of the visuals.
There are several outfits that Jennifer Lopez wears in the fantasy worlds which I utterly adore aspects of. The swirly outfit with the neck corset and the mask is simply stunning, and her leather armor in the later scenes is equally gorgeous. Add to that I am sufficiently similar in appearance to Jennifer Lopez to have faith in general that the outfits would look just about as the same on me makes it triply hard to ignore the design details of them.

I don't suppose I have to go too deeply into all the stuff in Bram Stoker's Dracula that get's me all excited, sufficed to say I'm a fan.
