Dammnit, why are all the nifty costuming groups in San Francisco!?!? I swear two out of three of the good costuming, corseting, sewing etc. groups findable on the internet are in the Bay Area.
I think I found THE OUTFIT I want to reproduce:
Isabella de'Medici by Agnolo Bronzino 1560-65. I will have to infer the bottom of the outfit, but that doesn’t much bother me as I am completely enamored of that doublet. Hell, accept for color details
this could practically be the same painting (may well be considering how painting was taught at the time) so I’m not worried about being able to fill in the rest of the outfit. It'll be a long term thing, but its something to work towards and gather materials for.
Oh, and I've decided I'm definitely changing the first part of my SCA name. Currently the favorites are Laudonia, Magdalena, and Domina.
Last name is staying pretty much the same except that I found evidence for it being contracted to d'Arzenta instead of di Arzenta, and I think I prefer the contraction. Trying to decide whether I want an epithet or not. Thoughts opinions preferences are VERY welcome.
