(Sorry 'bout the deleted comment-- my first attempt came out with crappy formatting)

Hee! I’m wickedly happy that the prompt was cracky enough to break the three-sentence mold :D

I love Edmund’s line about being under a spell-I figure he was always slightly paranoid after the White Witch, enough to have his own jokes about it. And I never considered that going to Calormen to see how Rabadash behaves at home might be his idea, but that makes so much sense.

Out of all of them, Lucy was always established to be the most honest so I can definitely see her, er him, choosing to keep silent here. And yes, he’d certainly judge someone based on how someone treated his dear friends.

I agree with grim_lupine--Peter breaking stoicism and cracking a stupid joke is hilarious and seems so fitting.(Random but have you read any Star Wars Expanded Universe books? I think he’d be a lot like Jacen Solo in that respect) Like in PC when in the midst of issuing orders and generally being awesome, he asked the bear not to suck on his paws(okay not exactly a joke but it was random and funny!)

Samuel the Gentle! *loves* Gah, I feel bad about saying this but I think I may like him more than Susan! He’s so calm with his brothers even when they’re clearly trying to hide any hostility towards his new paramour.

And now Rabadash has morphed into the craziest stalker in my head-Rabadash already was one, but like they say, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

That was great!

Hee! Yeah, I knew the moment I saw the prompt that I would not be able to fill this with only three sentences. (I needed Lucas to be pissed, Edmund to be awesome, wine drinking and a corny joke. No way I could fit that into three sentences!)

Oh yeah, Lucy would have totally told Susan what she thought; which is the difference between Lucas and Lucy in this scene. Lucy would not have had any second thoughts of telling Susan what she thought at once, Lucas decided to merely keep quiet. (I also think that the reason Lucy didn't come along to Calormen in HHB was that she was staying behind in protest (never mind that someone had to stay at home, IT WAS TOTALLY A PROTEST!) and Susan didn't bring her as punishment.)

Yeah, I imagine that by the time HHB rolled around Edmund would be cracking jokes about the White Witch (I would, at least.) And I always imagined that either it was Edmund's idea to go (and he'd whisper in the right ears that the Queen Susan wanted to visit Calormen), or Rabadash invited her by his own accord. Either way I imagine that Edmund's council was sought and there's a reason that he's the one who came with her.

I can totally see Peter as the one with the corny jokes and Edmund just rolling his eyes. (No, I haven't. I've barely watched the original movies. OT: I'm giving the DVD set to my brother for Christmas!)

I feel bad about saying it too, but I'm totally with you. I think I like Sam better than Susan *is a bad fan*

Thank you so much for this lovely review. I'm so excited you liked it. I had so much fun writing this, and I really think that I'm going to write more male!Pevensies.
