So I just voted by absentee ballot about five minutes ago and wow, what a rush! My county has early voting either by absentee or by going to the board of elections and I opted for the vote by mail option.
I feel so... good! I thought in 2004 this that that election was the epitome of my voting career but this time around it means so much more to me. Maybe its because I'm a married homeowner that has a child on the way but this time there is such an urgency that I've never felt before. I don't think that anyone who reads my journal or knows me has any doubt in their minds about where I stand politically... and it was so very good to mark that oval for Barack Obama and Joe Biden I could just explode! Its a culimination of a long political season for me...since April of 2005 actually when my boss Stephanie endorsed Hillary Clinton for President before she even formally entered the race, to travelling across the state for the presidential primary early this year, to the death of Stephanie in August with all the anguish and pain that brought to tonight, casting my ballot for a change that has been desperately needed and deserved by all Americans.
So, I hope that everyone registered by their state's deadline and will go vote either on November 4 or if you can vote early, do it! I will not tell you who to vote for, I've never been that kind of person... and its hard since politics are my bread and butter and I am passionate about my candidates for the majority of the day. All I am concerned about is that you get out and vote your heart and your mind... a lot rides on the next administration and the right candidate needs to be placed not only in the White House, but in the House, Senate and the state and local offices.
I'm Carole B. and I approve this message!!!!
