I posted the
first challenge up at
streeped, and I have to say, I'm starting to like running the icon challenge community. It's different from taking part, that's for sure. We already have 66 members in such a short time! How wonderful. I hope that there will be a lot of participation since we have enough members for a good turn out of entries.
I have been doing so many things at once and I'm thoroughly enjoying it believe it or not. :D Yesterday was the first day of Chinese New Year and I was out all day, visiting my relatives and collecting ang pows. I bought three dresses for Chinese New Year. One little red one, a little black one, and a white one. Yesterday, in the spirit of the season, I wore the red one. I liked it a lot, but my dad almost had a coronary when he saw it. I'm just really glad he didn't make me change out of it. Here are pictures I took! :D
These were taken on Chinese New Year's Eve where we have the traditional steamboat. :D
This is my favourite Chinese New Year decoration I have in my home. It looks truly spectacular with the
lights in the living room turned off.
My brother. // That's me in my red dress. :D
On the street where I live. It's pretty quiet because this is the foot of the hill and people don't come around to
these parts unless they're looking for someone.
Here, we're at my uncle's place. They have two televisions in the living room. Side by side. // My uncle, my cousin
and a bit of my father. All of them lazing on the couch after dinner. We were watching Die Hard 4 where at one
point, we discussed Bruce Willis' lack of hair.
That's my father. // That's my beer. See? There's this funny thing. I'm allowed to drink. And I do get respect from
the boys because I can hold my liquor. But boyfriends are totally out of the question. You'd think that warnings
against boys and booze came in the same package.
View from my uncle's apartment. I sneaked out onto the balcony when they were so immersed in watching the
movie. If it was day, you'd be able to see the view of the sea. The dark right portion of the picture on the left are
already waters. :)

In all actuality, I have plenty of homework, but I have a week off, so I'm going to make the best of the holidays first. :)
Also, I didn't post a reaction to the most recent BSG episode or the one before. Don't mistake my silence for disinterest, though. RDM consistently turns my brain to mush and most often than not, I'm incapable of putting down my thoughts coherently apart from the WTF-ness or the "Holy shit!" part of my thoughts. The following rant is under a cut because it is spoilerish to those who have not seen 4x12.
And because I'm watching, I'm irritated by the fact that some people think; "She could have at least put on the wig," in regards to the last scene of the most recent BSG episode. First of all, I seriously doubt that it would be practical, if not ridiculous, for Laura to wear the wig during sex. And I like the fact that she wasn't wearing it. It screams intimacy in the deepest sense to me. It appalls me that some people find Laura's lack of hair "disgusting". I'd really like to see them handle hair loss themselves. Really. D:
