I very excitingly made a call to 101 last night. It's the non-emergency police number that's being used in various parts of the country.
I couldn't quite decide if it was worth it, but I tried finding contact details for the local council and nothing turned up that looked at all useful. Basic issue was some roadworks near me that stretch across a T junction. Only one lane of the road is open, and there's a set of traffic lights controlling entry from all three options. It was either stuck on red on all of them, or the side-road was stuck on green, I'm not sure. Fun with cars and buses holding their breath and hoping that nothing went wrong when they 'jumped' the red light after five minutes of waiting. Looked like a traffic accident waiting to happen, as well as causing huge tailbacks.
I gave my name and phone number and I haven't been arrested. So far.
I turned round and drove around it, in the end.
