From the perspective of 2012, it is a bit of lightweight fluff that I laugh at. But it came out in 1988, when I liked it rather a lot - it's the kind of thing that worked well for teenagers who liked Fuzzbox and Wonder Stuff and the Housemartins, and disliked the Kylie*/Tiffany/Debbie Gibson/NKOTB pop stuff.
Transvision Vamp were all about the vacuous sex appeal, though. All I really remember them for is her interview on Live & Kicking when she severely embarrassed one boy in the audience my admitting to not wearing underwear.
OTOH, one of their songs was covered by the rather easy on the eye boyband Point Break!
Better on http://www.girl.com.au/pointb.htm The obligatory 1990s sleeveless vest and open lumberjack shirt about two-thirds of the way down is okay, as is the photo of Declan right at the top.

Did it fall through some timewarp into your head?
* 1988-Kylie was naff. She's much cooler now.

Along similar lines, it's how I experienced Rolf Harris singing One Hand In My Pocket.
