Arse. Biscuits.
Got up this morning, main computer dead. Not a peep out of the power supply. I have an old, dead PC I don't use for anything and tested that that powered up - at least as far as fans turning on, things spinning up etc. - with its (old, small) power supply. Moved the desktop power supply into that old machine, not a peep.
So, it could be other stuff as well, but it looks like the power supply is certainly stuffed. Assuming Aria perform in a not-entirely-rubbish manner, I'll have a new power supply on my desk at work tomorrow, CityLink-willing. I was pleasantly surprised by how cheap it all was, though. Beefy power supply and a few SATA/Molex cables for 40 quid, plus a tenner postage. When I bought the now-dead power supply, it was a much smaller wattage and about 65 quid before postage.
Here's hoping that it powers up...
