My surgery went very very well. They actually ended up lowering our bill by $430 dollars because it was so much easier than he thought it was going to be. He told me that they all came out right away and that nothing broke off or got left behind. The actual process wasn't too bad either. The nitrous oxide didn't do anything to me, I didn't get to have the "flying high" feeling. So I was my normal when they put in the IV and strapped me to the chair and what not. Then whatever he gave me in the IV put me right to sleep. I did wake up at some point, which I think was towards the end, all I could see what flashes of colors and I got kinda scared at that point because I didn't know what was going on and I couldn't even tell you if my mouth was open or not at that point and then I noticed I was crying and went back to sleep. I apparently cried a lot. Everybody kept telling me that they felt so bad because they made me cry and kept asking if I was in any pain which I wasn't. I guess sedative has the same effect on my paternal grandma. I did still have tears rolling when I actually woke up. Mom said she's never seen my eyes so red from crying. Kinda embarrassing for me really, but it's not like I could help it.
The post procedure has been wonderful. I bled a little bit for the first few hours. I haven't had any pain though. No bruises or swelling as of yet to report. I did have one tooth that was infected, but I anticipated that, so I have to be sure to take penicillin 4 times a day and Anaprox twice a day to help prevent any possible swelling. I did take a Tylenol 3 last night because I wasn't sure how sleeping would go, but I don't think I'm going to take it anymore. I can still open my mouth all the way without it being sore...which Alyssa will probably say isn't fair. lol
Well I suppose I've rambled enough. Just wanted to let everyone know it turned out wonderfully and that I am much happier to not be in pain anymore.
