Day Twenty Two and Twenty Three

Day 22 - Favorite book you own

I own far too many books to claim favoritism. I’m proud of the first edition leather-bound book of poetry by Robert Browning and the first edition complete works of Charles Dickens. I have my favorite books to read. Some of my favorite books on the shelf don’t mean that much to me as a novel.  I can’t actually answer this question.

Day 23 - A book you wanted to read for a long time but still haven’t

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. I’ve been meaning to get round to it forever, but jeez, I do NOT have any time to read a novel on top of this senior thesis and curriculum!

Other News:
Still Sick. Have completely lost my voice to laryngitis and too much coughing. Went to work today though, and it was okay. I had to leave early, but it was still an okay day. Got my nails done for the first time ever (gels, not acrylics) and love them, and ADORED the lady who did them. Got an e-mail notifying me that I'd been selected for a phone interview with Teach for America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which is disheartening considering my laryngitis. But it's scheduled for next monday, so hopefully I'll have completely recovered by then.

Got a lovely valentine from my boss, which was a lovely set of cards with green butterflies on them! And the other valentine I got was from an ex-coworker and current friend who gave me a $20 credit to the nail lady I saw today.

Badside of today: Still sick. Lost my voice. Got into a car accident. Long story, but I rear-ended this lady in a mercedes. No damage, just a bump of paint transfer, but enough for the woman I hit to panic and scream at me like I'd cut off her foot. Not at all pleasant, and I'm really disappointed with myself.  Also, migraine, probably from the stress, which is a result of guilt for not doing research, which is a result of me being sick, which is a result of me being over stressed. CYCLE of VICIOUSNESS, THY NAME IS STRESS.
