No longer a bum!
So I got the job I wanted after today's interview. It was kind of interesting because I had never been interviewed by a three-person panel before...
So what's the gig? Basically I'm a graduate student reference librarian at East Baton Rouge Parish Public Library. It will be my job to assist patrons in locating materials and information they need, as well as instructing and monitoring in the computer lab. I have never worked in a library before, and this will be quite new to me -- great experience after so much instruction in class.
Anyway I'll be working Fridays, Sundays and Mondays. Two will be full days and one will be half... so 20 hours a week. It won't get me rich, but it will give me some breathing room and hopefully stop this slow hemmorhage of cash from my accounts. Hell, I don't know about you, but this is a Merry Christmas indeed!
