I used to be a rollin' stone...

This weekend has been fun. The entire college crew came to visit eachother in Fairhope and I was there when it happened. We went to go see Constantine the first night in town. It was worth the $7:50 to get in but probably not the $15.00 to see it twice. Or the $19.99 to buy it on DVD. It was just fun while it lasted.

Tonight we took a trip across the bay to Mobile. I drove, which was fun, or at least more eventful because I don't know my way around Mobile. In the car were Kevin, Brian, Tackett, Hope, and Chris. For the first leg of the trip we listened to Brian's selection: Placebo and a Cowboy Bebop soundtrack. The soundtrack was much better. It was mostly jazz and blues with some westernish tracks. We made our way through the bulk of Mobile until we reached the mall on the other side.

The mall is just about the only place to go in all of Mobile because it provides climate control, food, and entertainment. To all of you who have never been to Mobile, the only thing eventful here is Mardi Gras and even then spend the extra few bucks and go to New Orleans. Not only is it better, but you guys won't crowd the only piece of shit that even resembles a city that's remotely near us. We wandered around a mall until it closed. Oddly enough, the moment it closed I was dying for any place that had soft drinks on tap, which was just about every place but they had already drawn closed those little iron gate/net things that mall stores have.

On the way back over the bay we listened to Elton John's "Rocket-man" and "Tiny Dancer". Everyone in the car found out how horrible my singing voice is. 'Nuff said.

We went to a park and sat around until we had to leave. A lot of things happened that are best explained with pictures. I would have taken some but my camera is the size of Andre the Giant's clenched fist and only has memory enough to take four pictures at a time, all of which is being used to store pictures from another excursion about a month ago.

I pulled into my driveway and turned off the CD player in mid-song. I began to gather all of my stuff and saw all of the things I'd gained: A bag full of trash, fast food containers, two drinks, and Brian's life's work in the making of a CD collection. 28 albums later, thing's are looking up.
