Lord Jones, I have finished with your book. When would be a convenient time to return it to you?

[She glances down at the copy of the play in her lap.]This has been a - a most insightful play. Inaccurate in regard to details, but accurate in spirit, I think. Though I can but hope Lord Shakespeare has misrepresented my Romeo's actions near the ( Read more... )

It was a purrlay about people you know?

[Another troll. She takes a moment to wonder if this is one who was mean to Vriska, then decides it matters not at the moment, as the girl is being polite to her, and nods.]

Yes, written after the lot of us were long dead. It is quite odd to read a play about people you know, and to imagine them speaking the words another has written for them.

Ohh, you're right, that has to be so furry furry weird! Why would someone write a purrlay like that? Were you all famous?

I know not why the playwright chose to write about us all. I would not have thought us famous at all.

It sounds like he made it into a sad story. It wasn't furry nice of him! Real people should have happy stories. With adventures! Exciting ones.

It was an adventure, for a little while. A wonderful, romantic adventure. But it - he did not write about events which were untrue.

...oh.

I'm sorry.

Are you okay?

I am here, am I not? And here, such things as the end of the play describes have not happened to me, yet. I will be fine. But I thank you for your concern, Lady...? It is most kind of you.

Yes, I suppaws so. It seems like even if it's not all that nice here a lot of us are better off being here than at home...

But I'm glad you're okay! I'm Nepeta! It's furry nice to meet you.

There are times it is very nice here. And there are many people here with whom I am good friends whom I would not know were I at home.

[One of the ones who was mocking Vriska, then. She'll curtsy and be nice, though. The girl is still being nice to her, and perhaps some sort of compromise can be arranged if Juliet is friendly with both of them.]

It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Nepeta. I am Juliet Montague.

Uh huh, it's not always bad! And I've made lots of furrends too like Eliot and Rei! I'd miss them if I wasn't here anymore. And there's lots of fun purrlaces to expurrlore and hunt and I like my new hive furry much too...so I suppaws you're really really right, it can be quite nice here! I just don't like when bad things happen that hurt people.

[Vriska's definition of 'mocking' is in no dictionary in existence if that's how she described what happened with her and Nepeta. The kitty troll was just mad at her for constantly bullying Tavros. Not to mention, you know, breaking his back so he couldn't walk and then killing him later on.]

Hi Miss Juliet! Have you been here fur a long time?

capuletnomore January 8 2012, 23:22:38 UTC
You have met Mr. Spencer as well? He is an interesting gentleman.

[She nods at that.]

Nor do I. Would that such things would not happen.

[This is the problem when you only have one side of the story, as Juliet does.]

I have been here since April - nearly nine months now.

Uh huh! I visit him allll the time, he teaches me how to cook and I share the meat I hunt with him! I like him lots.

At least it hasn't been too furry bad lately, I hope it stays this way fur a long time.

[It is, and Nepeta isn't really one to snitch even if she knew that Vriska's been telling tales, not unless she thought Juliet might be in danger from the other troll. If Vriska has managed to make friends with a human then good for her.]

That's...uhmmm, almost a year? I'm not used to human time yet! But it still sounds like ages and ages.

He seems most wise. And it is kind of him to help you in this way.

I agree - would that the Animus felt as we did. Then perhaps we could all thrive in this place.

It is almost a year, yes. Forgive me, I have forgotten your word for months.

He is! He's really clever and even if he acts like a grumpypants sometimes it's only the way that Equius does too and I know he's really furry nice and lots of fun under all of that.

Yup yup, a purrlace with humans and trolls and lots of other people living all happily together would be the bestest!

Perigees! But it's okay, I don't think any of our times are exactly the same.

[The description makes her giggle.]

Indeed. I think you have his character exactly.

It would be most splendid. May our new year lead to such things.

Yes, perigees. They are not exact, from what I understand, but they are similar enough in length of time measured.
