[She looks worried more than anything. She doesn't want to be the one to open this pain. She knows the feelings Juliet will have upon hearing all of it.]

I know the story. But, I don't know if it's good to look for it.

It is a play, Usagi. A work of fiction by its very nature. But, there is some grain of truth to this play, based on Thomas's quoting of it, and I wish to see it for myself.

[Yes, but... She's not sure it'd be good for herself to see a book about the Silver Millenium. Book or not, it's too close to the truth not to identify with.]

If you really want to know, I'll help you look. I just know Juliet was really, deeply in love with Romeo even though your families didn't approve.

That is true enough. Our families despise one another.

[She gives her friend a thin-lipped smile.]

And go out if you want, all the time. And I guess it's good to live on our own and become more responsible. ['On her own' being defined as 'instead of taken care of by her parents' in this case; she has the decided saving grace of being able to live with friends.]

We certainly earn our title of "Lady of the House" in this place. To take care of my own home, to have cared for a daughter - such things would be years off in Verona. And the responsibilities would be quite different. I enjoy being able to do things for myself, rather than rely upon servants to do them for me. If there is a mistake, it is of my own making, and if all goes well, I know that I have accomplished it.

Mm. [Absently she nudges the ring she wears on her finger.]

Even though I have this ring, we won't be married for a few years yet, either.

I sent Nanny to give Romeo mine, to show him I still believed in him and wished to be with him, once I received news of his exile.

That probably meant everything to him. He would have seen it as a sign of hope.

That was my intent. And Nanny is to bring back word of his plans for exile, that we may determine the best course of action.
