[The view shows a sparse but freshly scrubbed room and a smiling Juliet.]

This home may be small, but I am well satisfied with it at the moment. I need to become better at the various ways of cleaning efficiently. I am unused to such things. But my limited skills have made a vast improvement upon this place, have they not?

Ah, I'm sure I could find one for you.

[She's done quite a bit of scavenging these past few days and more likely than not, there's something like that laying around the house that she forgot about.]

...I do have something to be mended in return, however.

[She holds up a black bundle, her slayer's suit - she's wearing her civilian clothing right now, which escaped wear and tear in the Death Eater incident.]

[She peers at the bundle, unsure of exactly what sort of clothing it is, but nods to the girl.]

I would be happy to exchange my skills for the favor of a needle and thread.

[In the time it's taken Juliet to respond, Sango had been rummaging in the vaguely organized piles around the house and has successfully procured the needle and thread in question.]

Thank you. I've found the supplies; is now a good time?

[Because, you know, she's got nothing else to do.]

[She should ask Tybalt. She knows she should. But another girl who seems near her own age visiting is too tempting for her. If he doesn't want her going off on her own, then she is going to have company in.]

I will tell my cousin you are paying a visit. We live [x,y]. Whom shall I say is calling, miss?

I'm Sango. [She gives a smile, and looks to her right as the two-tailed cat leaps to her shoulder.] Oh, and Kirara.

You and your cousin are?

It's a pleasure to meet you, Sango. [Her eyes widen at the cat with two tails. It's cute, but she's never seen an animal with two tails.] And you as well, Kirara.

[She gives a curtsy to the camera.] I am Juliet Capulet, and my cousin is Tybalt. [Almost no hesitation between her name and surname this time; she's getting better at this.]

[She notices the hesitation, but lets it go.]

It's nice to meet you too, Juliet-sama. [If there wasn't a cousin to differentiate from, it would be Capulet-san, so she adds the extra respect to Juliet's first name to make up for the informality. After all, this girl seems like some sort of nobility.]

I'll be arriving soon.

[And it's true; it's not long before Sango arrives, knocking at the door firmly but not invasively, the black bundle tucked under her arm with the needle and thread wrapped safely inside.]

[She is puzzled by this suffix on her name.] Sama? What does this mean? You must explain when you arrive, Sango. I've not heard the word before.

[After a quick word with Tybalt, the two wait for their visitor. He opens the door and gives her a bow before slipping out. Juliet is grateful for that. Having her cousin lurking about might make the other girl uncomfortable.]

It is a pleasure to meet you in person, Sango. Please, come in.

[OOC: Got permission from Tybalt's mun for the teensy bit of god-modding here.]

[Sango smiles, both to the girl and to Tybalt as he leaves. Juliet is so polite, it's almost surprising.]

And you as well -- thank you.

Oh, and -sama is a suffix from my world that is roughly equivalent to the prefix "Lady" as I've heard it.

[She motions for the other girl to step further inside.]

I am sorry we do not have refreshment as we are used to providing at home in Verona, but we do have a pitcher of fresh water, if you would like something to drink.

Ah. Please, do not feel the need to use such a title with me. Here, I am simply Juliet.

[She shifts the bundle in her arms.] That would be very nice, thank you.

As you wish, Juliet. [She has to physically stop herself from adding a suffix.] But is it correct to say that you were a Lady?

[She takes the pitcher of water and one of the cups they have managed to find, and fills it, offering it to the other girl.]

My family is one of the noble families of Verona, but we are not so high as the Prince and his kin. My mother is called Lady Capulet. I will be properly called a lady when - when I am married. [She manages to stop herself before mentioning Romeo.]

[Sango sips, politely interested.]

I see.

[She drains the cup and puts it down in favor of bringing the black bundle to her front. She carefully unfolds it, rips evident, revealing a needle and two spools of thread.]

It's not much, but in a place like this, one must make do.

[Juliet looks down at the needle and thread, her eyes assessing what is there. There might just be enough for both jobs, depending on ow much mending Sango's garment needs. As for her own dress, she knows where she can skimp on the sewing and still have it look and be functional.]

That is well-said. Wherever one is, one must make do. What sort of mending does your clothing need?

[In answer, Sango shakes out the clothing, which though clean shows an intimidating amount of disrepair. There are long, ragged gashes around the torso, the legs, the arms, very obviously cut with something sharp and with intention.

Sango blushes a little herself, realizing how ill-kept the clothing seems and how strange a garment it must seem to Juliet.]

I'm afraid it's not quite a small project... it might actually be irreparable. But I would be willing to go find more thread if you need it.

[Juliet looks over the garment carefully. Her eyes widen as she takes in the extent of the damage. Growing up Capulet, she knows the signs of a fight when she sees them. The only thing she doesn't know is what sort of blade made the cuts, or who wielded it.]

If my cousin came home in clothing this torn, I would marvel that he was still alive.

[She reaches out to touch the material, fingering the torn edges on the torso.]

Have you any other fabric of this kind? Pieces of this garment may need replacing, else it will fit too snugly once all the tears have been mended.
