Scorch Marks and Famous People

So NOCS (North Oregon Coast Symphony) had our concert last night. And needless to say it was not the best we have had. We played American music from the 20-21st centuries and for those of you who are musicians will know that recent music is very time counting heavy, instead from classical which a lot of the time is predictable. You have to really, REALLY pay attention to the music and the conductor, granted the conductor knows what they are doing.

We had the composer of one of our pieces there, something a community symphony should never do, because people don't practice enough to get the music down well enough. So it was slightly embarrassing and as soon as the concert was done i rushed out of there coincidentally missing the get together at the Fort George, which is one of my favorite places to eat. Oh well.

In other news, MY JOB STARTS NEXT SATURDAY!!! i am soooo fucking excited! it just seems like such a fun job, and it is very relaxed which is something i really love. I can read a book and listen to music and be on my computer while at work!! how great is that?! The other good thing is that it is $10 an hour and i get paid everyday i work. So for 7 hours $70 a day, without taxes taken out.....pretty damn good. I did a little calculating: if i work 5 days 7 hours each day, i will make $1,400 a month. and that is without the commission. they will also give me the option to work 7 days a week so that would be $1,960 a month.....soooo good! if i work the 7 days i can live in a fancy loft at the Cannery Pier for $1,050 a month which has W/S/G and Gas paid for i just have to pay electricity which is no problem seeing how i would be out of the house most of the time working or out with friends. But i won't move into one of those until much later. Just some hopeful thinking is all.

That is about all that is new right now. :)
