Nathan was busy after Marni died. Busier than he ever thought possible. Raising Shilo with the help of a couple nannies and starting his new Repo life, however, there was one thing that he was determined to do.
He sold most of Marni's jewelry, keeping only very few sentimental pieces, and took the money to build Marni a lavish mauseleum. If he were to be totally frank (which he never was, not with himself, and not with Shilo) he was building it just as much for himself as for Marni.
However, the building was just that, a building with a gravestone. Marni, he kept for himself, building her body a special room in the house where he kept her close for years on end.
One day as he passed down the hall, he paused, gazing at Marni for a moment. Thoughtful, he went on his way. Why did he do that, he mused? Why did he keep her body there when technically he could be charged with grave robbing? Passing out of the house in his reposuit, he smirked. It was just so she wouldn't be turned into Zydrate. Really. It was all about the Zydrate. Whistling to himself, he walked to his next job. Yup. All about the Zydrate.
