The Two Mrs. Carrolls 1947
Humphrey Bogart and Barbara Stanwyck draw the viewer into dark romantic setting. Regardless of everything you see from the beginning of the film, you believe the romance between Bogey and Stanwyck. Strangely enough for such a dark film the ending is almost comedical.
