Just some outlines of the trolls in this AU, as well as bits and pieces of the events in their session.
Kanaya Maryam, Sylph of Life. Land of Rays and Dew.
Kanaya is still very calm and to a point sincere. However because of her high ranking in the caste system she's more than a little detached and disconnected from most other trolls. Like Feferi she wishes to change the way troll society is run for the better, but unlike Feferi she has a very paternalistic view on the whole thing, assuming that the other trolls don't know what's best for them and will thank her later for taking care of the whole thing for them.
In this vein she's prone to taking up 'causes' in the very condescending fashion of rich Victorian women. Two of these causes are Vriska and Rose, although Rose calls her out on the bullshit and soon she's trolling her because it's weird to be accused of being harmful to her friends when Really Shes Just Doing Whats Best For Them
Terezi Pyrope, Seer of Hope. Land of Angels and Flow.
This Terezi isn't blind, although she does have an extrasensory method of perception that she relies on heavily. Instead of smelling and tasting colors she makes use of the lateral lines that are common in fish - although because seadwelling trolls are shown to be able to survive fine on land this ability transfer over to air as well as water. Terezi loves balance and order, and so she's staunchly a proponent of the hemospectrum and caste system, since it's very much an Everything In Its Place way of sorting trolls.
She thinks that Kanaya is way too idealistic to ever make it as a viable empress, but has no plans to try and usurp the throne. She's very much modeled after a shark, and as such is waiting for the inevitable bloodbath that Kanaya's reign will (in her mind) cause so that she can snap up as many weaklings as she wants. She does Kanaya's bidding, but only because she believes in the hemospectrum so much and the intended purpose of purple bloods is to serve the Heir Apparent.
She loves to harass the lower-blooded trolls and tell them about how she's going to snap them up and rip them apart. She's kidding, though. Probably.
Vriska Serket, Thief of Rage. Land of Tents and Treasure.
Vriska is one of Kanaya's 'causes'. What this means is that Kanaya recognizes that indigos are inherently violent psychopaths and took this as an opportunity to make Vriska into an example of why her future plans of eliminating culling can work without things going to shit. Kanaya alternates between keeping Vriska forcefully drugged and allowing her to sober up in order to collect lusii (and the stray troll) for Kanaya's lusus.
Sober Vriska is incredibly resentful of being treated as Kanaya's plaything and hates her more than anyone else in the world. She'd really love nothing more than to snap her neck. Drugged up Vriska is a lot more easygoing, similar to the original universe's Vriska if she were sleepier, out of it, and a hell of a lot more malicious. However as the game progresses she begins to have an inkling that her BFF might actually be warping and using her for her own gain, as good as intentions may be.
Soon after that realization she's approached by Terezi, who while respecting the caste system still loves to see some chaos (and a chance to bring out an indigo's full potential) and offers to help 'right' things with Kanaya. Unfortunately Vriska doesn't understand that what the plan boils down to is alchemizing her some sick weapons and allowing her to sober up.
Sollux Captor, Mage of Void. Land of Caves and Brains.
Sollux is slick. He is so slick. He's also still the arrogant pessimistic douche everyone has come to know and love. The bump up the hemospectrum means he has access to significantly better equipment for his apeshit coding. He has a slightly increased aptitude for the physical side of tech things, and has basically turned his hive into the epic lovechild of the Batcave and Star Trek. It is a sight that would make technophiles weep tears of blood.
Unfortunately he's still not the most pleasant guy around. All that unlimited tech at his fingertips has made him a mite paranoid - he's (slightly justifiably) convinced that one of his friends is going to kill him, and has set up a tricked-up security system around his hive. He runs extensive background checks on people before even pestering them online, and would never ever tell anyone where his hive is located. The only reason anyone knows is because he's neighbors with Aradia, who leaked that and other personal information about him in a fit of rage after figuring out it was him who kept culling her computer.
He recognizes his extreme misanthropic tendencies and beats on himself for being such a socially stunted dick all the time, but it never really changes anything. He blames himself for the Alternian apocalypse because his ego couldn't resist fixing and significantly enhancing the really shitty code Gamzee and Eridan concocted for Sgrub.
There are days when he really regrets installing Trollian at all, because why are these people always bothering him. Secretly he's actually really surprised anybody sticks around after the first encounter and would go all the way for them if they were in danger. That is, so long as it didn't mean leaving the Captorcave.
Aradia Megido, Maid of Light. Land of Maps and Quartz.
Aradia is basically her original self's stereotype of highbloods: an apathetic snob who hates indiscriminately on all lowbloods. She's modeled after a black widow in both sense of the term. Aradia dresses elegantly and pays special attention to her appearance, because class must be maintained at all times. She's never had any qualms about feeding other trolls to her lusus - she figures they should be happy that they got that close to something with blue blood at all.
Unlike Vriska she rarely uses her mind control powers and prides herself on that fact. She'd also never FLARP if her life depended on it because she considers it an incredibly base activity. Instead she spends a great deal of time on dating sites, luring lonely lowbloods to her hive with the promise of a m8spritship beyond their wildest imaginings. Unfortunately for them the matchup she's talking about is Spidermom <3 Dinner, but those are petty details.
Aradia enjoys reading about the history of Alternia and has an extensive librarywhich is augmented after each lusus meal's hive is pillaged. She likes to sit and read while her lusus munches up a troll, as she considers the screams to be incredibly soothing. She makes sure to present a calm and disinterested face to the other trolls, but she actually has a pretty bad temper when provoked.
If she gets riled up enough she'll use her mind control powers even more indiscriminately than Vriska does, not caring what she does so long as it hurts whatever upset her as much as possible. Aradia is the one responsible for Nepeta's beating after Equius (who had a very short-lived flushcrush on her) revealed that Nepeta had been hiding him in her hive.
She's actually disappointed that Nepeta was tough enough to survive the attack, and if their session hadn't gone to shit would very likely have made another attempt on both her and Equius. She did, however, completely trash the kids' session by enabling the prototyping of Bec out of spite for Equius becoming so close to some of the kids.
Aradia also hates Sollux with a passion that rivals that which she reserves for Nepeta. This is because while Sollux is a huge dick, he's a huge dick with reluctant morals who doesn't like what Aradia does to people. He continuously finds nw and creative ways to disconnect her from the internet to keep her from luring in more spiderfood, something which she flipped upon finding out.
In retaliation she drew up an open chat and infodumped all the information she had on Sollux to all the others trolls while simultaneously jabbing at his paranoid nature. He had a pretty major flipout of his own of his own over that and outright culled Aradia's computer.
Nepeta Leijon, Rogue of Mind. Land of Little Cubes and Thought.
Up until her 'accident' Nepeta was very similar to Tarzan. She was a free-spirited wild child who was perpetually swinging from and off of the trees around her hive. Because her lusus was sleeping for most of her life there wasn't anyone to tell her not to get into FLARP, which she did with gusto. It was through gaming that she came to know Equius, who quickly became one of her dearest friends.
When he couldn't bear flaunting the hemospectrum anymore and confessed his mutant blood to everyone she refused to allow him to throw his life away for a STUPID STUPID DUMB ideal and pretty much kidnapped/dragged him back to her hive. For a while it looked like everything was fine and dandy and Nepeta's hiding of a fugitive wasn't going to have any consequences. Unfortunately Equius (who was frequently left alone in the hive with no companion but the internet while Nepeta gallivanted off in the woods) became ensnared in one of Aradia's dating traps and confessed to the blueblood both that he was a mutant and that he was being harbored by Nepeta.
Aradia was livid at the caste system being ignored in such a way and promptly took control of Equius' mind and forcing him to beat an unsuspecting Nepeta senseless when she returned, culminating in her being thrown from her hive. The beating left her unconscious for several weeks, during which she was ministered to by an incredibly contrite Equius. Mentally this was her awakening on Prospit, where she spent her recuperation weeks making up for lost time with her lusus and drinking in the prophetic clouds.
After finally waking up, Nepeta's personality had changed a bit. She was still incredibly cheerful and outgoing, but the wild edge she'd previously had had mellowed down somewhat. Her early awakening on Prospit makes her more knowledgeable about future events than the others and prone to cryptic teasing. It's all in good fun, because she thinks that Sgrub is going to be a fun game that will end for the best.
Nepeta no longer FLARPs because the injuries from her beating have left her with an awful limp and the inability to raise her arms up fully. These are the only things she really regrets about the incident, as it's robbed her of the ability to swing through the trees like she used to. Nepeta never blamed Equius for the debacle, although despite her best attempts to the contrary he continues to do enough blaming for the both of them.
Before her injury she wielded blades in battle, but after she took up the bow and arrow. She and Equius make a formidable team, him covering close range and her safely situated in a tree and sniping away.
Karkat Vantas, Knight of Space. Land of Haze and Frogs.
Karkat is significantly less grumpy than his original self, but he's still fairly sensitive about his blood. He isn't sure whether to be proud of it or ashamed at being the first recorded jade in history. Most of the time he settles for the happy medium of typing in jade and giving a hearty FUCK YOU to the caste system.
He never met Doc Scratch because Karkat never went wandering in the desert. This is mostly because he is scared shitless of the zombies in the desert. He spends the daytime tucked neatly away in his hive with a blanket over his head and his romcoms cranked up to max volume to try and drown out their moaning. At night he either harasses his friends online or reads up on DIY quadrant books.
Most of his ornery nature stems from the fact that he's an insomniac, never having the outside influence to calm his sleep patterns. It's hard not to be pissed when you've never had a decent night's sleep in your life.
Tavros Nitram, Page of Heart. Land of Tea and Zephyr.
If the original Tavros had had a spine, he'd be this Tavros. Being raised in a fairly isolated hive allowed him to develop a personality and set of morals rather than being meddled with in his formative years. He's still shy, but not to the perpetually hesitant and apologetic point of his original self. He idolizes the troll version of Robin Hood, although he really sucks at swashbuckling.
He likes to wander circuitously between his friends' hives in order to prepare himself for a life of outlawdom. Mostly it's just because he likes being around people after sweeps and sweeps of it being just himself and his lusus. Tavros is still very naive, as can be seen from his friendship with Vriska. He wants to believe in the best of people, even half-drugged half-murderous psychopaths.
This is going to end about as well as you'd expect.
Eridan Ampora, Prince of Doom. Land of Wrath and Fire.
He is still an incredible whiner. While Eridan loves the power of his psychic abilities, he goes on and on about his psychic headaches like a little old lady. He keeps up the facade that he can hear the voices if the imminently deceased, but the truth is that the dead stopped talking to him after realizing what a tool he was.
He feels like he's failed the only thing that lowbloods are good for, so he continues to pretend he still has the ability. This gets Eridan into trouble later because Gamzee (who can hear the dead) ropes him into creating Sgrub from the mystical ruin texts. What this amounts to is him doing a lot of trekking he's physically unsuited for through dangerous terrain with an incredibly cryptic rustblood.
Eridan does most of the coding for the original Sgrub, which is beyond shitty. Despite having admitted his technological failings, he's still irked when Sollux retools it. He spends a lot of his time on the roof of his hive, pouring out his feeling to his lusus who can't understand a word he says and assuaging his despair by doing stupid psychic tricks.
Feferi Peixes, Witch of Breath. Land of Glass and Sand.
Feferi is basically a crazy cat lady with the ability to commune with animals. She's unable to turn away any injured or orphaned animal, which has resulted in her house and yard being filled to the brim with all manner of creatures. She applies this idea to people as well, having a penchant for befriending those in tough spots. As such she's particularly close with Equius, Nepeta, and Vriska.
She's less flaky than her original self but also sterner and blunter with her feelings, a result of spending a lifetime wrestling unwilling animals into splints and bathtubs. Feferi likes to imagine herself as a good auspistice, but the reality is that she tends to get too emotionally invested in the conflict to do any real good. She tries her best, though!
Gamzee Makara, Bard of Time. Land of Melody and Mirth.
Gamzee is a more observant version of his original self's stoner personality. As a wriggler he assumed that the voices of the dead he hear were just imaginary friends he couldn't see. As he grew older the voices became so familiar that they just faded into the background of his mind. He likes to 'follow his heart', which is actually him acting on the advice of the voices without really noticing.
He's incredibly friendly but tends to unnerve people with the way he talks about everyone dying like it's nothing. Gamzee tends to make assumptions of people without checking the facts first (exactly what happened with Eridan), but the guidance of the dead has made it so this has never turned out badly for him. All his good luck allows him to continue on in the carefree manner he's accustomed to.
He bugs the kids quite a lot, since he thinks they're really amusing.
Equius Zahhak, Heir of Blood. Land of Pulse and Silence.
Equius still adheres strictly to the hemospectrum, which is what touches off his attempt to out himself to his superiors. He understands that he's an anomaly in the system that needs to be eliminated, which makes him incredibly fatalistic and masochistic. He's subservient to those above him, but since his blood color makes 'those above him' everyone he's slowly discovering that he doesn't actually like being ordered around in real life.
Nepeta putting herself so far out just to insure his safety has had a big impact on him, and if he were placed in a similar situation that caused his original self's death it's very likely that he'd fight back. He's still prone to being creepy and staring, albeit in a much more subdued manner.
Nepeta is easily the most important thing in his life, particularly because she never blamed him for the mistake he made which ended in her beating. Equius still carries an immense amount of guilt for the incident and is monstrously protective of her now. Underneath all the guilt is a very large flushcrush on Nepeta, although he would never bring it up as he considers himself far beneath what she deserves.
At Nepeta's request he typed in gray while on Alternia, but immediately shed it once they entered the game and blood color became the least of their problems.
