I love Summer Movie Season

I've seen some really good movies lately, and cannot wait for Dark Knight. (don't worry I wont give any specifics away with what follows in case someone hasn't seen these movies yet) Get Smart was my favorite of the recently released movies. I thought it kept to the Orginal show very well, and the car scenes were awesome. Hancock was also very good, however I figured out the twist long before it got there, plus any movie with Will Smith is always a winner for me. HellBoy really disappointed me. I think the whole first section of the movie should have been cut, and the back story could have been done shortly through the opening credits. The action sequences weren't all that great either. I did like the character creations, however I don't think they should have shown all of them in the previews. I was left with nothing to surprise me, and a really boring predictable plot. The big surprise for me was Journey to the Center of the Earth. I didn't have high expectations of this movie, but wanted to see it anyway. I really enjoyed this movie. It's one for the family to see together, it's a feel good movie. Yes, there were some cheesy lines, and the plot was predictable, but it was done a lot better than HellBoy. I would rank Journey higher than HellBoy in my lists. I had never read this book before, but now I will be reading it.
