Yeah Job!!!!!
The Long Wait is OVER!! I have a job as a Manager Trainee for McDonald's. For the next 7 weeks roughly I'll be working as a trainee and going to their management classes. Once I have completed that I'll have an evaluation and be moved to 2nd Asst Manager. I'll be making more as a manager trainee than my last job payed. Each level I move up will be a pay increase as well. Benefits are great, and there are lots of money incentives as well. YEAH!!! I start Monday morning at 9am.
Nick is also doing great at his job. He just recently got $1 raise. He really likes his job, and they are doing a great job of training him in many different aspects. So that if he ever decides to leave from there he will have a much stronger resume.
Dragoncon is coming up, I didn't buy a ticket ahead of time because I was unemployed. McDonald's set up the schedule so that I can go, but since my ride will be leaving and returning at different times than I need I'll have to drive myself. I haven't completely decided if I'll go because I don't really want to drive alone, and I can't pay for a plane/train/bus ticket either. So I'll decide by Tuesday if it will be worth it.
I gave Shadow away to insanechristian's sister. I've heard she is doing well, but doesn't really come out of her room much. Caroline is much happier now as well. She is definitely a one cat to a family style cat. Her behavior has gone back to normal now and she is a lot more affectionate again.
The house is still basically the same, we have all the furniture in place now and I'm out of boxes. The water pressure is still eluding us. We'll probably have to completely change all the pipes for it to work correctly. We got enough pressure that we can now take showers at home instead of at his aunt's.
So overall things are beginning to look Bright again for Nick and I!!!
