Job Hunting
Oh what fun job hunting is!!!
Well, I haven't heard back yet from the Statesville job, but not surprised after answering the questions I don't feel as confident about it as before. Hopefully I'll know soon though.
As far as the Hickory Boys & Girls Club, I turned that job down. The in person conversation was not the same as what he said over the phone. And he is apparantly a Rev. and through conversation with me and my past boss he found out that I wasn't married and that I was living with my boyfriend. So he began to talk to me in a fatherly tone saying basically he didn't approve of my lifestyle and that as long as I didn't bring it into the work place he wouldn't say anything else about it. Then later on in the conversation he changed the job description to having more responsiblities because I my past experience, but didn't up the pay any. He has offered me the position and really wants me there, but he is unwilling to meet my needs in terms of pay. Therefore, BYE BYE to him!!!
I've been looking at other jobs online and haven't found a whole lot yet, but I have enough money saved up to support me for about 2 months so, I'm not worried yet. I'll have something by then.
The house is almost completly fixed. We've got a few more things to do, but overall it's perfect. I've still got a lot of unpacking to do, but that's not my priority right now.
