I can't sleep because right now I'm at my creative peak, and so many ideas are flowing in my head I must capture as many as I can. I've assigned myself to write a paper on this topic, but I want to get some opinions:
Have we, as Americans and mostly the western world, outgrown the need for political party affiliation ( more on the individual aspect)? In the beginning, less Americans were educated and affiliated themselves with parties because they knew the beliefs of those parties and simply categorized themselves. Today, more if not all Americans are informed and can be educated on their politics; therefore, do we still need the institution of political parties, and if so should the dynamics that exist in the United States be changed?
