A week from the other side
It has been one LOOOOOOONG week for me. It seems that we have been taking one sort of test or giving one type of assessment since the begining of the school year. It has been five weeks and I think that I may have just finished the final one of the quater. Funny how we just finished midterms yesterday. It has been Crazy. Last weekend I actually got away for a bit and went to see Sara in MIchigan. We had the chance to go to the game...like she would miss it...and had a great time. We tailgated with her parents...then went out to dinner with them and her Brother afterwords. What a nice weekend. But them MOnday hit and the lead weights were put back around my neck. I guess that the kids are now starting to settle in. But it seems like I am just shuffling paper from one side of my desk to the other. I guess that I can get back to work on Monday. We are going to watch the movie "The Secret of NIMH" tomorrow in class. we have just finished reading the book "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH" a great read. If you have not readit..I reccomend it with gusto. It is a well written book that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults. Ahh the best kind of book. So we are going to compare the Book (which was awesome) to the movie (which is crap). I did it last year as well and had a great conversation with my kids. I am ready for this. It will be good.
