I've been having thinky thoughts about a post-series Pearl and Mike dynamic. Mike and the bots are living in their little house, as we saw at the end of the series, and still watching their bad movies every week, and then one day Pearl and boys (having failed in their various endeavors and drifted back to one another) move in next door. Pearl throws herself back into tormenting Mike, but their dynamic is very similar to the meeting scenes at the end of season eight: Pearl definitely enjoys tormenting Mike, but she's also weirdly friendly and neighborly as well.
Mike, for his part, occasionally talks about moving elsewhere, but he always has some reason he doesn't want to, the biggest being that Pearl will just follow them, and the truth being that after all their time together he had kinda missed Pearl and Observer and Bobo, in a weird, Stockholme kind of way. Besides, they actually get him a lot better than any of his other neighbors, and are the only ones who don't look askance at the bots and their games. (In fact the bots, who adore Pearl, spend as much time at her place as they do at their own.)
At some point, Pearl starts joining them for bad movie night, initially so she can watch them suffer, but then she starts enjoying herself. She always drags Bobo and Observer over with her so she can keep an eye on them, and they end up in a weekly ritual of the six of them watching bad movies together and riffing on them.
