Day two. Confined only by the atrocious weather - rain, rain and yet more rain. Typical. It’s always wet when I have an appointment at the hairdresser. Finished painting son’s room this morning then made mad dash down the road for long overdue haircut. Troubles soothed by complimentary head massage. Alas, still pouring when I emerged three quarters of an hour later, but at least all hair now fits under hood on raincoat.
In the week that I rewatched Wilde

Yesterday evening turned on the telly randomly at 9.30pm to find something to watch while drinking my Ovaltine and caught a repeat of the Have I Got News For You guest hosted by BC. Seemed funnier in retrospect, plus bonus points for his hair being a gorgeous dark ginger. Looking forward to the final episode of Parade’s End tonight. It’s make your mind up time for Christopher Tietjens...
Although obviously I know how it all ends - unless Tom Stoppard has radically changed Ford Madox Ford's story. After reading Daphne du Maurier's novel The Scapegoat and watching the ITV version recently, one can never be too sure!
