Let's hypothetically assume that Laurent and Damen would fall for each other, get together, pledge their mutual love forever, go liberate Akielon and put Damen back on the throne... then what? Do they live miserably ever after, each in their own kingdom?
Well, the obvious solution would be for them to get married, make the two kingdoms one and adopt Nicaise as their heir, but somehow I just don't see that happening.
Seriously, how will they solve that?
This is one thing I love with this story, it is seemingly in a genre where the main characters will eventually become a pair, sexually and/or romatically, but I just can't see how that would happen. If it will happen freece is really taking her sweet time, which is awesome as she does it without losing the tension in the story (not even mentioning all the other tension she heaps on top of that! Nowadays I am always at the edge of my seat waiting for each new chapter).
