Have a muffin, muffin
So after cleaning and tidying for hours and hours in the apt this afternoon I took a several-hours-long break to cook, eat, cook some more... (the first & last items there involved eating too, of course) About an hour ago I was suddenly inspired by the amiable & obliging Muffin Muse to make some sugar free (cus of the no-sugar diet prescribed by the doctor for several months) version of these superlatively cute morsels from the quickbread realm. The internet provided very few decent recipes. I searched and searched for the awesome no-sugar-added cookbook my dad gave me for my birthday, but couldn’t find it anywhere- I could have sworn I packed it. This is a very, very sad revelation. :o( I was fully planning on adopting that thing as my new ultra useful bible. Or should I say, my FRUITFUL new bible. *knee slap*
Ah, Yiassou Maria just began on itunes... “Turn around, bring it down go slow, go slow! Heads up, Lord have mercy!” :-D That song really does not get old. Oh, the bouzouki rock-out part just started. So Greek. But great.
Anyway, the muffins I ended up making were decent, but considerably improved with butter, cus what muffins aren’t? Oh GOD, that reminds me now of Lizzy & Sebastian’s RIDICULOUS semester long argument against me that only freaks eats butter with muffins. Christ. It was nice during vacation not thinking about them calling me “monstrum” (i.e. a freakish or peculiar or ill-omened thing) last semester every day thenceforth from that fateful day I had the audacity to offer him butter for his worthy baked confection. EVERYONE eats butter with muffins. Perhaps a professional poll is in order. Of all the things people could incessantly fight over, this is pretty out there... *roll eyes*
And on that note... despite the weird muffin frame of reference, the evening (post-cleaning) was quiet and relaxing (except for louder-than-usual music- it’s not gonna bother the ZERO other ppl here). Can’t wait for my flatmates to arrive. And... my shirt is covered in flour, hehe! Γεια σας, όλοι φίλοι μου! Have a πολύ καλή νύχτα!
