Juliet nearly drops the load of laundry she's carrying when she hears James storm in and bellow for her. Instead she sets it down carefully and walks out of the hallway to the front room, a confused look on her face.

What is it? What's wrong?

He warns himself to pull it back, but he can't stop the sarcasm from rolling out of him.

Juliet's eyebrows raise at his tone, and she slowly crosses her arms, preparing for an argument. Her voice is calm and even.
