That time of year again
So the first of December is upon us, which means it's that time of year where I post a PSA about HIV/AIDS. Twelve years ago I lost a cousin to an AIDS related illness. Since then I've donated to the Until There's A Cure charity. I got my first bracelet a year after my cousin died and I now own three different bracelets.
This isn't me being prechy, it's just me using my journal to speak about something that is important to me. This is my way to pay it forward and never forget what my cousin went through while waiting for a cure. I donate and wear my bracelet for him and so that maybe I'll be lucky enough to see the news headline that they've found a cure during my lifetime.
