A life burned at both ends! --> HEAT WAVE
The Flash 218 "Rogue profile: Heat Wave". This latest issue is interesting at best. Heat Wave's history and origin are very unbelievable in making the Rogue he is today. This issue underdeveloped Heat Wave. I like the tension between Heat Wave and Captain Cold, though. The face off between Wave and Cold was pretty good; it's building up to a story arch that will rival that of Mark Waid's Flash story archs from 15 years ago. The art was good, but not exceptional. I don't mind that so much since the story really wasn't there to begin with. All in all, I give this issue a "C-". It would have gotten a "D", but the stand off between Cold and Wave gave it much needed points.
