2 days 'till PDX!
well last night we bought windows. i feel relieved that decision is over but they cost 2x as much as we thought they would. but i really think we are getting some quality shit that we will never have to worry about replacing. seriously these are super fucking windows. so we are financing. it will take 2 years to pay them off but no apr on the first year. we are getting 7 windows and 3 are for the studio (being it currently has none). no door though for the studio. the door would have added another 5 g's. that more than all the windows. how the fuck a door ends up costing that much i have no idea. something about how they replace the whole frame and there's a lot of labor involved and the door has gold and platinum plating with a diamond studded handle on it and the glass would have been crushed quartz crystal. so we'll have to look elsewhere for a normal door and maybe install it ourselves. no big deal i guess, right?
owning a home = money pit
even though we are spending money i do truly enjoy improving the house and i cannot wait to look out my back door and see windows in the studio. or be in the studio and have some natural light for a change so you can see wehat the hell your doing when your in there. i also can't wait to see what a difference they make this winter with the heating costs. oh, and the really cool thing is marks artwork won't fade if sitting under a window bc the windows will block 80% of the UV rays. and that's pretty cool.

i also got a new pair of glasses yesterday. they will be eggplant purple and slightly larger than my current pair of glasses. thanks to my most awsome medical i only had to pay for the anti-glare coating and everthing else was totally free. last time i think i had to drop $200, which i did not want to do again. but than again last time i was working for shield envirotards. anyway, my eye doctor tells me my eyes are 'very healthy but also very sensitive to bright lights and glare'. which may be why whenever i see halogen lights in my rearview mirror i want to stop the car, grab my maglight and go smash those goddamed headlights out of said car until those people understand just how it hurts my fucking eyes.
